American Golf gets lucky

American Golf is leaving nothing to Lady Luck in its new television advertising campaign. Airing for the first time on Thursday 27th February during the Honda Classic coverage on Sky Sports 4, the advert brings together the very best products with the very best that Scotland has to offer to create a visually stunning and captivating advert.

The action takes place at Turnberry and stars their Pro, Ross Leeds, and the Store Manager and PGA Pro for American Golf in Irvine. Golfers are seen battling tough positions on the course and each is challenged to leave “nothing to chance” and to “create their own luck” by choosing the very best products for their game.

The commentary continues the Scottish theme as it is voiced by none other than John Hannah, the actor and golfer whose “stop the clocks” speech in Four Weddings and a Funeral brought time to a standstill in much the same way as it does in the advert.

“The look and feel of the advert and the game improvement message reflect where we see the American Golf brand and we are really pleased with the outcome. We all blame Lady Luck for our highs and lows on the golf course so we decided to try and capture that idea and encourage golfers to choose the right equipment in order to eliminate some of the chance involved,” remarked Daniel Gathercole, Head of Marketing at American Golf.

As well as the TV Advert, there is also a 60 second version of the advert which you can view here.

Look out for the 30 second American Golf advert during the Honda Classic on Sky Sports 4 between 21:30 and 22:30 on Thursday 27th February.
