Craig Gilholm is the Greens Keeper at the Royal Liverpool, venue for this year’s Open. Notorious for its slender fairways and infuriatingly difficult bunkers, Craig’s work will be under scrutiny by millions of golf fans around the world this week.
Tiger Woods managed to avoid every trap on the course during his 2006 Open win. As a result, this year’s bunkers have been made even deeper and placed in ever more exasperating positions. Craig’s famous bunker that guards the 14th green is lovingly/hatefully referred to as ‘Medussa’.
