Pot bunkers litter the Old Course, but the one on the Road Hole creates the most drama. Lots of the pros will go at a pin tucked behind this trap, but it’s even more in play this year as the mounding has been built up to collect more balls. You can be in several awkward spots so backwards or sideways is an option. Going at the flag requires you to stay as low as possible, get the clubface as open as possible and hit it as hard as possible so the ball emerges almost vertically.
