Fantastic weather forecast for Open week

This week’s Open Championship at Muirfield is set to be blessed with good weather for the entire week. The UK is in the grips of a heatwave and the forecast for the coming days will delight players and fans alike.

Wednesday is set to be cloudy at times with sunny intervals and a maximum temperature of a very comfortable 21 degrees. Winds will be 10-15mph with gusts up to 25mph.

The tournament will tee off on Thursday with fine and mainly dry weather with sunny spells and temperatures up to 23 degrees. Again the wind with be 10-15mph and may ease later in the evening.

High pressure will remain dominant into the weekend, meaning yet more settled and largely dry conditions and temperatures should stay comfortably in the 20s. Winds will stay mainly light.

All in all, it’s a fantastic forecast. Relatively light winds should help the players get under par if they can stay out the rough and it will be extremely pleasant conditions for watching golf.
