Rose in the BA hotseat for Muirfield

US Open Champion Justin Rose enjoys the comforts of his sponsor’s British Airways First Class seat at St Andrews – the Home of Golf – before moving on and practising at Muirfield ahead of this week’s Open.

Rose is confident he can carry on where he left off in America last month, saying: “What I took out of Merion is that I’m ready to relish the opportunity and compete at the highest levels, putting myself in the positions that test you at the very high end of the game”

“My goal this week is to prepare for all eventualities and just be ready – to win tournaments you need to be mentally sharp and mentally fresh for the weekend, and I’m hungry again and itching to play.”

British Airways offers daily flights from London City, Heathrow and Gatwick to Edinburgh (about 30mins from Muirfield) and golfers will be pleased to know they can take their golf clubs as part of their normal checked baggage allowance.

British Airways is proud to support US Open Champion Rose, helping him to arrive feeling refreshed and ready for the competition ahead.
