The United States head in to the final day of the Solheim Cup with a commanding lead over the Europeans at 10.5 – 5.5, and need just 3.5 points during the Sunday singles to retain the trophy they won in Germany in 2015. Europe meanwhile need to win 9 of the 12 singles matches to win the Solheim Cup and complete the biggest combeack in history.
The Americans set the pace during both fourball sessions, making history during the on the first day of the 2017 Solheim Cup at Des Moines Golf and Country Club in Iowa, completing a clean sweep in the afternoon fourballs for the first time in the history of the Cup.
