Ryder Cup Europe poked fun at the budding bromance between Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari on Monday morning with a video of the pair in bed together, along with the Ryder Cup.
Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari combined to become the most successful European Ryder Cup pairing in a single contest, claiming four points from four matches as twitter rushed to dub them MoliWood.
It was what Rory McIlroy would likely call a love-in, and many others a bromance, as the duo hugged and showed affection to each other through each of their fourball and foursomes matches.
Fleetwood had said of Molinari “He’s one of my best friends, not just on Tour but in life”, while Molinari replied with “I simply love him”, prompting the first tongue-and-cheek video from Ryder Cup Europe.
But after Molinari secured the winning point for the European Ryder Cup side, it was McIlroy who took the joke further: “Francesco and Tommy have gotten awfully close this week so I don’t know what’s going to happen between them tonight,” he had quipped.
The result? This video from the European Tour.
Fleetwood then responded to the video on Monday morning, simply writing ‘Miss him already’
