If you are wayward here you’re not reaching for a wedge to hack out of rough, you’re reaching for another ball. Most of the narrow fairways are lined with gorse, making the ability to hit straight off the tee essential. This Suffolk gem is mainly heathland in character, but its close proximity to the tidal Alde estuary means there is a hint of links about it – certainly in the sea air.
