A couple of our judges absolutely rave about Fraserburgh. Along with Aberdeenshire cousins Newburgh and Murcar (see later) it really ought to be better known. Records suggest golf was played on these rumpled, narrow fairways even before the 1780 date which is officially noted as the birth of the club.
