What’s In The Bag of two-time DP World Tour winner and 2023 Ryder Cup rookie Robert MacIntyre?
Jump To: WITB MacIntyre
Bob MacIntyre has made quite an impression since turning pro at the end of 2017. However, those who saw him demolish Cameron Champ in the first round of singles at the Walker Cup at Cyprus Point that year got a strong indicator of his considerable talents.
Since then he has piled up a raft of top ten finishes on the DP World Tour and gained his maiden Tour victory in Cyprus at Aphrodite Hills in 2020.
The 26-year-old had to wait another two years for win No.2 but did it in style, beating US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick in a play-off at the 2022 Italian Open at Marco Simone Country Club, the host venue for the 2023 Ryder Cup.
“This is what I want. This is my only goal for the season – to make that Ryder Cup team,” he said. “I think I’ve made a good start.”
MacIntyre registered a second-place finish at the 2023 Scottish Open, lifting him to 6 on the European Points List, 54 in the world rankings, and with it that converted place on Team Europe, one year on from his win in Rome.
The left-hander from Oban has also performed strongly in the Majors also, with sixth and eighth-place finishes at The Open in 2019 and 2021 respectively, along with a 12th-placed finish on his Masters debut in 2021.
MacIntyre is a TaylorMade staff player, who also games a Titleist driver and wedges. He signed a multi-year deal with Nike to wear the brand’s apparel at the end of 2021. Let’s take a look inside the 2023 bag of Scottish Ryder Cup player Robert MacIntyre.

What driver does Robert MacIntyre use?
Robert MacIntyre uses a Titleist TSi3 driver (9º) with a Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7 X shaft
The more compact, traditional pear shaping of TSi3 is aimed at more consistent ball-strikers seeking ultimate control over their flight.
A five-setting SureFit CG track offers precise adjustments, from ‘most heel biased’ through to ‘most toe biased’, allowing players to fine-tune their shot shape and launch. Unlike TS3, the weight is now easily visible, allowing you to see its position without removing any parts. Its location at the very rear of the club also increases stability on those off-center hits.

What fairway woods does Robert MacIntyre use?
Robert MacIntyre uses a TaylorMade Stealth Plus fairway wood (15°) with a Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw White 85 TX shaft
The titanium and carbon fiber construction launches and flights shots higher (whilst lowering spin) which gives a steeper descent angle, and pros love that because they can loft up whilst losing no speed or distance and gain a slight advantage on getting shots to drop out of the air and stop on very long approaches.

What hybrid does Robert MacIntyre use?
Robert MacIntyre uses a TaylorMade Stealth 2 hybrid (19°) with a Graphite Design Tour AD DI 105 X shaft
As has been the case for several years with TaylorMade hybrids this is a great-looking mid-width body model, and thanks to a new carbon fiber crown golfers can expect a fraction more forgiveness than previous models. With three Stealth 2 hybrids available though it’s really important to select the model that best suits your game.
This Stealth 2 model is a flat-out distance machine, it’s for golfers who sweep hybrids off the deck like a fairway wood. Where the narrower body Stealth 2 Plus, which produced 2mph faster ball speeds (at 146mph it was our fastest hybrid), but 600 RPM more spin, flies a fraction higher and descends onto the green much more like an iron. The model that should be pinging the radar of lots of club golfers though is the new Stealth 2 HD. Our data shows it launches and flies higher, and spins more (800 RPM more) than both the standard and Plus model, traits that will help average-speed golfers keep shots in the air for longer to maximize distance, and help stop shots once they hit the green.

What irons does Robert MacIntyre use?
Robert MacIntyre uses TaylorMade P7MC irons (4-PW) with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts
A new design puts added mass behind the point of impact, and it took Rory McIlroy just four swings to recognize the feel was more solid than the P750s. A narrow sole width, minimal offset, and thin top edge (a fraction wider than the P7MB) are all aimed at the best ball strikers, and they’re backed up with a super clean, less-is-more look of a top player's iron.

What golf shoes does Robert MacIntyre use?
Robert MacIntyre wears Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour golf shoe
From every angle, this is a striking piece of footwear and you have to hand it to Nike for creating something not quite like anything we’ve seen before. Visually the Victory Tour 3 looks the part and is super comfortable and supportive thanks to the foam heel delivering a soft smooth ride.
The old-school look with a few vibrant colors will really set your outfit off and have your playing partners jealous on the 1st tee. Partnering with superb traction from the new Tour Flex Pro Softspikes, you have a shoe that's perfect for practice or a trip to the course.
You'll have no concerns regarding keeping dry, so wet weather isn’t a problem and there is plenty of grip too. Unquestionably you will get a smooth ride from a shoe that is very waterproof. It is just that some players may not like the feel during the swing because of how soft the heel is.
Pros
- Super grip
- Looks great on the foot
- Breathable and waterproof
Cons
- Crease on the upper easily

What driver golf apparel does Robert MacIntyre use?
Robert MacIntyre wears Nike golf apparel
Best for tour quality
The word that Nike feels describes the Dri-Fit Tour Camo best is "consistency." The polo has a stretchy fit and has been constructed with Nike's signature Dr-Fit technology that moves sweat away from your skin for quicker evaporation, helping you to stay dry and comfortable. An enhanced breathable mesh on the collar has been engineered providing you with a cool sensation around the neck area.
Another feature we appreciated was the versatility of the polo's length which enables you to wear the polo tucked or untucked depending on your preference. A further appeal to this polo is the use of recycled polyester from the one billion plastic bottles that Nike divert away from landfill and waterways each year.
Pros
- Highly breathable
- Sustainability conscious
- A variety of micro and larger camo prints
Cons
- Not so many vibrant colors on offer
Sizes | XS-4XL |
Colors | 7 |
Material | 88% Polyester, 12% Elastane |
