*The Essex G&CC – a cracking modern Club Company venue and golfer’s paradise. Boasts a thrilling par-73 track that will test you all the way with four par-3s, nine par-4s, five par-5s, ten lakes and strategically-placed bunkering
*Colchester GC – a well established parkland, undoubtedly one of the best courses in Essex, reflected by its choice as host for several pro and amateur county tournaments over the years. A par 70 of around 6,350 yards, a player needs to cope with fast running fairways amongst the mature trees dotted around this James Braid-designed track. Perhaps the biggest issues are avoiding the bunkers that usually surround the greens and then trying to read the subtle breaks on the putting surfaces.
