2-FORE!-1 Six of the Best

You’ll discover some stunning 2-FORE!-1 Golf courses in all four corners of the UK. And, once again, here are six of the very best…all well worth checking out at some time this season.

*Linden Hall (pictured), Northumberland – Established parkland layout which is always in excellent condition. You’ll particularly relish the challenges of a great set of par-3s, the thrilling par-4 finale and stunning Cheviot Hills views.

*Dartmouth G&CC, Devon – Challenging undulating parkland layout with an impressive combination of holes, the Championship course boasts a terrific set of short holes including a thrilling par-3 finale over a water-filled valley.

*Marriott St Pierre, South Wales – Playing a well established parkland layout where Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman and Bernhard Langer have tasted European Tour success, is an opportunity that should not be missed. Water is a consistent theme over the closing stretch, climaxing in a card wrecking par-3 over a lake.

*Rowlands Castle, Hants – Founded over 110 years ago, and today this parkland venue is a hugely attractive test of golf. Recent irrigation additions mean a good surface to play on is pretty well guaranteed all year.

*The Warwickshire, Warwicks – With two Championship length courses, plus a par 27 track, there’s no shortage of options at this gorgeous West Midlands venue. Designed by American Karl Litten, the holes have a variety of links, woodland and parkland characteristics, including water, tree-lined fairways and small greens.

*Forest Pines, Lincs – One of the best new courses to emerge in England over the past two decades, Forest Pines is the home of 27 holes and three outstanding loops of nine (Forest, Pines and Beeches) and was in the running to host the prestigious 2015 Solheim Cup.
