Priced at a reasonable £199.99, PRO L1 is packed with technology including Target-Lock Vibration and a Precision Clear Lens. The vibration leaves players in no doubt that they’ve locked onto the flag and can trust the displayed yardage, while the lens lets you seamlessly switch between the laser’s black and red dual optics to ensure you can pick out your target in any light.
“The introduction of the PRO L1 laser rangefinder represents an exciting expansion for Shot Scope,” said CEO David Hunter, the former electronics design engineer and secondary school teacher who founded the brand in 2014.

“We wanted to create a high-performance laser product that delivered on ultimate performance while carrying an affordable price tag.”
The sleek and sturdy PRO L1 also has Adaptive Slope technology which displays the angle of slope adjustment and a recalculated distance, accurate to just 3.6 inches. The feature can be easily switched off to ensure the laser conforms to the rules of golf in competitions, while measurements can be changed from yards to metres if preferred.

Six-times magnification and a range of up to 875 yards mean no pin will ever be out of its reach, while its water-resistant construction and grip patches ensure it performs in all conditions. The laser is also impressively compact, measuring just 100mm long, 43mm wide and 75mm high.
“The performance that this laser delivers rivals products that have led the industry for years,” added Hunter.
“The option of either the red or black lens optics means that no matter the lighting outside, users will always be able to capture the flag.
“We pride ourselves on accuracy, and this product is no different. The laser displays distances to an accuracy level of less than four inches, allowing golfers to swing confidently time and time again.”
Golfers can choose between a vibrant blue or grey accent for their laser, with a premium carry case, lanyard, carry clip, cleaning cloth and battery all included in the price, along with a 12-month limited warranty.
Shot Scope, who are based in Edinburgh manufacture all their products in Scotland, are made up of 17 people, including former Walker Cup player and ex-professional golfer, Gavin Dear. They are hoping the PRO L1 matches the success of their V3 shot-tracking and GPS watch, which attracted more than 50,000 users across more than 100 countries.
Shot Scope PRO L1 is available now from Shot Scope's website and most major golf retailers.
