The Red course boasts the perfect mix of six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s. It is fairly short, Herbert Fowler designed both courses in 1928 after all, but the heather and pines keep you honest. The club has also not rested on its laurels to maintain the course’s challenge, with new back tees added this century on the 3rd, 4th, 11th and 17th. Many of the non-indigenous trees have been removed in order to restore the original open, heathland vista.
