CLUB COMMENT: Work on the 17th hole is now complete and has made it more challenging. The practice ground has also been extended to 300 plus yards. A four-year programme of bunker redevelopent is in progress.

Laid out on a fine piece of linksland beneath the town of Harlech and with the intimidating medieval castle overlooking every shot, Royal St David’s is regarded as the toughest par 69 in the world. It’s also fabulous value.
