CLUB COMMENT: At the 2nd the green has been flattened and a couple of bunkers put in.

A very simple, unpretentious course which you could imagine existing in exactly this form 100 years ago (it opened in 1890). The dunes are intimidating and rugged, providing natural amphitheatres for many greens. The 220-yard 13th, with a bail-out front left and a Tiger line over the beach to the green, is the most memorable hole and is followed by a first-class par 4.
