CLUB COMMENT: Had the original architect, Pat Ruddy, back to rebunker the entire back nine. Extending tees and will be doing the same with the front nine next winter.

While many of the holes intertwine with the Old course and have a more mature feel to them, others feel like a new, modern links in the manner of a Kingsbarns or Waterville. The bunkering on the back nine has been stiffened up in the past 18 months and the Glashedy is very much a championship test. Nick Faldo immediately fell in love with Ballyliffin.
