What we say...

The versatility and performance of the original PING EYE2 sand wedge inspired the design of the iWedge. Borrowing the proven engineering advancements of the tour favorite—including the concave sole—the iWedge’s Sand Cup design positions the pivot point further from the lead edge and features an aggressively tapered heel and toe.

This combination gets the wedge under the ball quickly in the sand or from turf and prevents digging. The deep, multi-level cavity maximizes forgiveness and positions the center of gravity (CG) toward the center of the face and low for a solid feel.

Forgiveness isn’t something we’d automatically consider when buying a wedge, but this club’s cavity back positions more weight around the perimeter, helping to edge its accuracy stats to just five yards, which is pretty impressive. A concave sole makes the club effective from bunkers as it cuts through sand cleanly and accurately, without any tendency to bounce like some wider-soled models.

Our test pro thought the cast head wasn’t quite as zippy when it came to feel, but overall, we reckon this is a great wedge for club golfers.
