What golf clubs and ball does Aussie Pro Min Woo Lee use? We delve into the three-time European Tour winner’s bag.

Min Woo Lee steamed into the newly revamped 2024 DP World Tour season with victory at the first event of the ‘Opening Swing’ in Brisbane, at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, rising to a career-high world No.38.

Today's Golfer What's In The Bag is brought to you in association with Callaway Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X golf balls.

It was the man from Perth’s second win in six weeks, backing up his Asian Tour victory at the SJM Macao Open.

The 25-year-old shot a tournament record of 30-under par en route to victory on home soil, and was able to enjoy a somewhat processional walk down the 18th with his entire family watching on.

Min Woo Lee wins Australian PGA Championship 2023.

The title was Lee’s second Down Under, his first coming early in 2020 at the ISPS Handa Vic Open which also represented his first DP World Tour win.

The biggest scalp of his career to date however came at the Scottish Open in 2021, defeating Matt Fitzpatrick and Thomas Detry to claim the prestigious Rolex Series event.

Min Woo Lee won the 2021 Scottish Open via a playoff.

A T5 finish at the US Open represents his best finish in a Major to date, and if early 2024 season form is anything to go by, few would be surprised to see the Australian challenging for the game’s biggest prizes before long.

After all, there is Major-winning pedigree in the Lee family already with US Open and Evian Championship Minjee Lee setting the benchmark for her younger brother. The pair became the first brother and sister to win the USGA’s Junior Championships.

Siblings Min Woo Lee and MInjee Lee are both professional golfers.

With 400,000 Instagram followers already, the Australian is developing into one of the game’s great entertainers and will undoubtedly be one to keep a close eye on throughout the 2024 season.

Min Woo Lee is a Callaway Tour Staffer and games a full bag of the brand’s products. Let’s take a look at which models the Aussie is carrying into 2024.

WITB: Min Woo Lee

What driver does Min Woo Lee use?

Min Woo Lee uses a Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond S driver (10.5°) with a Fujikura Ventus Blue 10 X shaft.

Price: $599.99 / £599.99 RRP
Averaging 320 yards off the tee, Min Woo Lee is one of the longest drivers on the DP World Tour and knocks down the yards with a Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond driver.

Other players choosing to game the TD include Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele. The TD model is smaller than the standard Paradym and Paradym X drivers, coming in at 450cc and offering the lowest spin with a neutral flight. It is designed for better players who want to work the ball.

What fairway woods does Min Woo Lee use?

Min Woo Lee uses a Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond HL 3-wood (16.5°) with a Fujikura Ventus Blue 10 X shaft.

Rrp: $349.99

Price: $279.99
The Australian also games the Paradym Triple Diamond as his fairway of choice, with 16.5° of loft. It's Callaway’s most compact fairway wood shape with a deeper face and compact shape at address. It is best suited for stronger players with the Triaxial Carbon crown helping to create a low and forward CG for a penetrating ball flight with lower spin.

Each of the three Paradym models – Paradym, Paradym X, and Paradym Triple Diamond – have been designed with different players in mind, and all will feature in our test of the year’s best fairway woods, but there’s a lot of the same tech that flows throughout.

What irons does Min Woo Lee use?

Min Woo Lee uses Callaway Apex MB irons (4-PW) with True Temper Dynamic Gold Issue X100 shafts.

Price: $215.00 / £217.00 RRP per club
Callaway's Apex MB irons have been developed for the absolute best in the game who are looking for a high level of performance in a modern Tour blade. Along with Min Woo Lee, players including Phil Mickelson, Sam Burns, Taylor Gooch, and Matt Wallace have been known to carry the MB irons in their bags.

The Dynamic Sole Design provides more efficient turf interaction, enhanced workability, and the classic feel that elite players expect.

What wedges does Min Woo Lee use?

Min Woo Lee uses a Callaway Jaws MD 5 wedge (50°-10S), a Titleist Vokey SM9 (56° 08M), and Wedgeworks (60°-T), all with Nippon NS Pro Modus3 shafts.

Price: $129.99
Wedge play around the green is a strong part of Min Woo Lee's game, finishing 4th for scrambling and 2nd for sand saves on the 2023 DP World Tour leaderboards. He games a mixture of Callaway and Titleist wedges including the Callaway Jaws Mack Daddy 5 wedge in 50°.

Being a tour-style wedge, Jaws has a very sharp leading edge which calls for precise and accurate ball striking, especially on damp turf or sand. In the wrong hands, sharp edges increase the likelihood of heavy and fat shots. Jaws is a really good-looking wedge with plenty of modern spin tech, and it will be most at home in the hands of above-average golfers.

Pros

  • Aggressive groove technology for greater spin
  • Low launch angle
  • Attractive head shape and looks

Cons

  • Designed for above-average short game players

What putter does Min Woo Lee use?

Min Woo Lee uses an Odyssey Tri Hot 5K double-wide putter.

Rrp: $399.99

Price: $299.99
Odyssey says they set out with the audacious goal of creating a blade putter that could outperform a mallet, but any design had to have a classic head shape that tour players would love.

The name double wide comes from the head being almost twice as wide as a traditional blade putter head. The Double Wide comes with a cranked hosel (it’s got slight toe hang) so the model is well suited to slight arc strokes.

Pros

  • Sits squarely behind the ball
  • High MOI to help mis-hit putts
  • Excellent feel off the face through White Hot insert

Cons

  • Might not feel enough like a blade for some

What golf ball does Min Woo Lee use?

Min Woo Lee uses a Callaway Chrome Soft X golf ball.

Rrp: $49.99

Price: $44.99
While there may not be as many Tour players reaching for Chrome Soft X’s as they do Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x, they are no strangers to the winner's circle. In the hands of Jon Rahm the Chrome Soft X has been a belter of a ball, helping the Spaniard rise to World No.1 since he signed for Callaway in 2021.

Expect a slightly lower, more penetrating flight than the standard Chrome Soft, along with a more workable/shapeable nature. Callaway’s highest tour-level wedge spin ball whether you’re hitting full shots or from the greenside. The X gives a firmer feel than the standard Chrome Soft.

What golf shoes does Min Woo Lee wear?

Min Woo Lee wears Nike golf shoes (Air Zoom Victory Tour 3 featured).

Price: $180.00 / £205.00 RRP
From every angle, this is a striking piece of footwear and you have to hand it to Nike for creating something not quite like anything we’ve seen before. Visually the Victory Tour 3 looks the part and is super comfortable and supportive thanks to the foam heel delivering a soft smooth ride.

The old-school look with a few vibrant colors will really set your outfit off and have your playing partners jealous on the 1st tee. Partnering with superb traction from the new Tour Flex Pro Softspikes, you have a shoe that's perfect for practice or a trip to the course.

You'll have no concerns regarding keeping dry, so wet weather isn’t a problem and there is plenty of grip too. Unquestionably you will get a smooth ride from a shoe that is very waterproof. It is just that some players may not like the feel during the swing because of how soft the heel is.

  • Super grip
  • Looks great on the foot
  • Breathable and waterproof

Cons

  • Crease easily on the upper
