With over 20 years experience of designing putters, during his six years with TaylorMade he has helped to elevate them as a putter company and his new range is bound to attract serious attention from tour pros and keen golfers.
The new range consists of five carefully crafted models painstakingly honed by Ma, whose expert eye for shape and detail is clearly reflected in each one.
The line consists of three blades –
“Rossa TP by Kia Ma putters are guaranteed to appeal to the golf purist who loves classic design and flawless execution,” said Bill Price, TaylorMade’s senior director of putter creation. “Every surface is satiny smooth and every curve and corner is perfectly rendered. Their straightforward shaping makes them easy to look at and aim, and they feel fantastic. When you pick one of these putters up you realise right away the person who created it is someone special.”
Already this season, the new line has been put into play by Justin Rose, Paul McGinley and most recently by Sergio Garcia who has put his putting woes behind him using the Rossa TP Daytona KiaMa in his fantastic Castello Masters and HSBC Champions victories.
“Tour players constantly pass comment on the balance, feel and look of the Kia Ma putters” said TaylorMade Tour representative Matt Blackey. “Players fully appreciate the attention to detail and high quality craftsmanship that goes into each putter and it is very exciting that golfers of all levels can now play the same putters the players on Tour are all talking about.”
We’ve been lucky enough to try out a couple of the new models on our TG green and they look and feel gorgeous! Purists will adore the attention to detail and cool, stylish finish. More importantly, they put a super smooth roll on the ball and provide a soft clicky response at impact. Expect to see a lot more of these beautifully designed wands on Tour during 2009.
Rossa TP by Kia Ma putters will be available to buy in January and will cost around £219.
