Stewart Golf wheels in to No10 Downing Street

The creator of the innovative range of Stewart Golf trolleys has received the ultimate ministerial endorsement after being invited to 10 Downing Street to meet Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Mark Stewart is the man behind the luxurious remote controlled trolleys such as the X3 and the F1 Lithium, which retails at a cool £2,500.

And with UK celebrities such as Vernon Kay and Ronnie Corbett using the trolleys, the next step was an audience the Prime Minister.

Stewart was invited to Downing Street to meet the PM and business secretary Peter Mandelson as one of Britain’s most successful entrepreneurs.

He said: “It was a tremendous honour to be invited to a reception for entrepreneurs at Number 10. Stewart Golf continues to grow even in these difficult times and I can only put that down to the continued innovation, persistence and sheer hard work of the whole team. We’re not resting on our laurels though; we have great plans for the coming years to build on that growth. ”

There’s no word as yet as to whether Stewart managed to persuade a notoriously frugal Scotsman to part with £2,500 in exchange for an F1 Lithium.
