Cleveland Golf introduces CG7 Black Pearl irons

Cleveland Golf have updated their successful CG7 irons with a sleek Black Pearl version for 2010.

The original CG7’s will still be available but are now complemented with the Black Pearl model which makes the head look smaller and more playable at address and reduces glare.

The CG7 Black Pearls feature the same technology that made the original CG7 so popular including the unique gelback technology, a one-piece injection molded lightweight visco-elastic insert that covers the entire perimeter of the cavity and the base of the head.

This is designed to provide vibration dampening across the entire face, even on off-centre hits, to give superior feel and feedback.

They also feature milled ZIP grooves, which are 35 per cent bigger than the original cast grooves but still conform to the new groove-rule limits due to be in place from January 2010.

A laser-milled face gives a more precise and consistent surface roughness than alternative methods and provides optimal surface roughness to maximize spin.

The CG7 Black Pearl irons will retail at £499 and are designed for mid-low handicap players looking for a combination of forgiveness and playability.
