Callaway prop-Els Ernie to epic Open Championship victory

Callaway staffer Ernie Els rolled back the years to claim an epic Open Championship victory at Royal Lytham and St Annes on Sunday afternoon.
The 42-year-old took full advantage of a monumental collapse from overnight leader Adam Scott to win his first Major for a decade.
The South African relied on a bag full of Callaway equipment, including the new Hex Black Tour ball which launched earlier this year.
Els also used Callaway’s RAZR Fit driver (8.5˚) and an X Tour fairway wood (15˚), as well as three X Utility Prototype long irons.
His excellent ball-striking was key to victory on the Lancashire coast, and the four-time Major winner also had Callaway’s RAZR X Muscleback irons and X Series Jaws wedges in the bag.
Finally, the popular winner used an Odyssey White Hot XG1 belly putter to tame the tricky greens at Lytham.
Els finished on seven-under-par, one clear of Australian Scott who bogeyed each of the last four holes. Tiger Woods was three shots further adrift, ending the tournament at three-under-par, along with halfway-leader Brandt Snedeker.
