Jonas Blixt In The Bag: The Frys.com Open Winning Clubs

Jonas Blixt has won the Frys.com Open to secure his first PGA Tour victory in his rookie season.

The Cobra Puma staffer shot a 16-under-par total to secure his first win after coming close previously with four top-10 finishes, the most recent being a third place finish at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open last week.

Blixt started the final round in second place, two shots behind John Mallinger, but the Swede managed to fire a 68, to the American’s 72. His closest contest ended up coming from Tim Petrovic, who shot an impressive closing 64 to finish one back.

With eight holes left to play, Blixt was in a four-way tie, before a crucial birdie on 17th gave him the outright lead.

“Jonas’ rookie year on the PGA Tour has been excellent and he has been a perfect fit with Cobra Puma golf,” commented the brand’s President, Bob Philion. “Jonas has been with Cobra for two years while he graduated Q-School and secured his first PGA Tour win this week.”
