TaylorMade Golf have kicked off their ‘One Bucket’ campaign for the RocketBladez irons with a sea of yellow on the European Tour at the at the Joburg Open and also on PGA Tour at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-am.
Tour players, caddies and celebrities showed their support for the One bucket Challenge by wearing a yellow bucket hat embroidered with '#onebucket'.
The challenge, which is being held by retailers across Europe, will see golfers trying TaylorMade’s new RocketBladez irons given a free bucket of practice balls.
The company believes that just one bucket is all it will take to demonstrate the performance benefits of RocketBladez and convince golfers to put their new iron in their bag.
The One Bucket Challenge was inspired by how fast TaylorMade Tour staff pros switched to the RocketBladez Tour irons. Normally changing irons for a Tour pro can often be a lengthy process requiring extensive trial, but TaylorMade’s Tour staff have been putting RocketBladez in play very quickly because the performance benefits were so clearly apparent.
Two TaylorMade staffers have already won using RocketBladez Tour irons – Sergio Garcia at the Iskandar Johor Open and Dustin Johnson at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on the PGA Tour.
Both the RocketBladez and RocketBladez Tour irons feature the performance-enhancing Speed Pocket in the 3-iron through to the 7-iron, which is engineered to increase the speed of the clubface to promote higher launch and a stronger ball flight.
At the same time, the Speed Pocket increases the area on the clubface that delivers high ball speed, promoting consistent distance from shot to shot.
