Adidas Golf has introduced the new adizero shoe, an ultra-lightweight model designed on Barcelona legend Lionel Messi’s football boots…and they’ve already got Ryder Cup hero Sergio Garcia purring about the performance.
“I’m always looking to add comfort and lightweight elements to my game, rounds on the course get long and it’s vital to have footwear that helps you perform,” said the eight-time PGA Tour champion.
“The adizero golf shoe gives me the tools to stay light on my feet and feel closer to the ground through each step and swing,” he added.
There are three colourways in the range, with the lightest model weighing just 10.6 ounces – that’s 38% lighter than the TOUR360 ATV model.
It also benefits from the thinnest outsole ever for the brand, but despite the lightweight properties stability hasn’t been sacrificed.
The crucial piece of technology is the new anatomical last and SPRINTFRAME outsole that reduces shoe weight while maintaining comfort.
The SPRINTWEB internal TPU later provides impressive upper support during lateral movements of the golf swing, while a new leather SPRINTSKIN ensures a consistent fit and good durability.
