Wesselingh Competes In First Major Of 2013

John Letters staffer Paul Wesselingh has teed it up in the first Senior Major Championship of the 2013 Season, the Senior PGA Championship.

The 2012 European Senior Tour Rookie of the Year competed in his first Senior Major Championship at Bellerive Golf Club, St Louis last week, but rounds of 72 and 77 meant he narrowly miss the cut by two shots.

The 51-year-old lined up against some the games greats after finishing fifth on the Order of Merit in 2012.

Wesselingh said: “It was bitter sweet really. A great experience to compete in my first Seniors Major, but I was disappointed to narrowly miss the cut.”

The Englishman teamed up with Letters early on in the 2012 season and plays the full complement of Letters equipment including Master Model driver, fairway, Satin irons, MM grind wedges and a Golden Goose putter.

Next up for Wesselingh is the ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship at DeVere Mottram Hall from the 6th-9th June, where he will be defending his title.
