This week’s 2-FORE!-1 ‘specials’ include a former European Tour venue and one of Scotland’s leading pay and play layouts, a wonderful Braid parkland track. More fantastic courses where you can enjoy 2-FORE!-1 Golf in style…
*St Pierre (Old Course), South Wales – (pictured) Follow in the footsteps of legends like Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman and Bernhard Langer who have all tasted European Tour success here. This parkland masterpiece recently underwent a major refurbishment and spectacularly finishes with a 200-yarder over water.
*Stockley Pines, Middlesex – Formerly Stockley Park, the Robert Trent Jones Snr course has benefited big-time from a recent major makeover including change of name.
*Carlisle, Cumbria – Cumbria’s parkland pride is located virtually a thumping drive from the M6, but you’d never know – the attractive gently undulating course is majestically lined by an assortment of mature trees.
*Bingley St Ives, West Yorks – Brilliant Bingley has something for everybody: it was partially created by Alister Mackenzie and is part parkland, woodland and moorland. Plus it boasts terrific Aire Valley views.
*Chartham Park, West Sussex – Opened just over 20 years ago and is an outstanding, fast-draining Neil Coles-designed parkland with awesome North Downs vistas.
*Belleisle, South Ayrshire, Scotland – Quality James Braid parkland within Belleisle Estate on the outskirts of Ayr with spectacular Isle of Arran views. Watch out for the pesky Curtecan burn which features on several holes.
