Hundreds of thousands of tonnes of earth were moved by bulldozers to create the “wow” factor Kingsbarns undoubtedly boasts. You can see the North Sea from every tee and the landscape now oozes bumps, mounds, humps and hollows with fairways majestically rippling ahead of you. It continues to mature nicely having opened in 2000 and has a genuine feel of an established links. The modest clubhouse is actually a nice touch as the owners resisted the temptation to erect a huge building.
