CLUB COMMENT: A couple of new tee boxes and the rough has been thinned out.

Norman made over 20 visits to the site to make sure he was getting the most from the 100ft-high dunes and the result is a modern links in a fantastic setting. He did put a bunker in the green on the 12th, which was not too the liking of some, and some of his more severe slopes on greens have been softened, but he lived up to his promise of not “Americanising” the design.
