TRACK YOUR STATS

Input scores and stat and rounds and track stats such as your scoring average, driving accuracy, greens in reg and average putts per round.

The app allows golfers to see how they stack up by monitoring results.

New in-app leaderboards and user profiles means you can compete with other golfers.

SEE HOW YOU STACK UP

You can connect with other golfers and sync your profile to your existing Facebook and Twitter accounts so that friends can see your progress.

To add a bit of competition, you can even set up “leagues” with people, for one round, a golf break or a whole season, to see who’s No.1.

WIN VIRTUAL TROPHIES

To encourage you to keep working on your game, NG360 awards virtual trophies. So, if you card four birdies in a row, you’ll get the Schwartzel Cup (Charl finished with four birdies to win the 2011 Masters.) Another is “ ‘Bouncebackability’, where you make par after a bogey or worse.

VIDEO TIPS

Nike players, including Charl Schwartzel, Jhonattan Vegas and Paul Casey, offer tips on each area of the game – driving, iron play, short game and putting. You can also video your swing, break it down and see where it needs improving by comparing it to pro swings in slow-motion.

SPECIFIC TRAINING

The app comes preloaded with dozens of golf-specific exercises developed by Gary Gray and David Tiberio of the Gray Institute, which comes up with programmes for athletes. Paul Casey demonstrates them, and they’re categorised into groups like Power, Balance, Endurance and Resiliency.

EQUIPMENT ADVICE

Tools such as the Nike Golf Ball Recommender make it easy for golfers to find the right ball for their game. Things like driver setting recommendations are also included in the app, plus there’s a full round-up of Nike’s 2013 product line and a video tour of The Oven test facility.
