Mizuno launch the super fast MP-25’s

Mizuno are masters when it comes to forging, their MP Series Irons have been favoured by some of the worlds best players over the years. It took six years of development before Mizuno introduced their first ever Boron Forged iron (the JPX 850) in 2014 and now their looking to build on their success.

If first impressions really do count then the new Mizuno MP-25’s will score highly with a huge range of golfers. They are simply stunning. With a super sleek satin finish, no badge, no paint fill and a profile which Mizuno describe as “tour dictated” we just know stacks of golfers will be yearning for Father Christmas to leave a set of these in their stocking this year

What’s new?

More Boron Tech

Its worth mentioning Mizuno want to build on the success of boron forging. By putting just 3% boron into their 1025E steel mix they increase the strength by 30%. Logic may tell you strength isn’t relevant when it comes to forged irons, but this technology allows Mizuno engineers to make the faces of the MP-25’s thinner than their traditional Grain Flow Forged heads.

Micro-Slot

Speed Slots, Compression Channels, Speed Pockets are all the rage in Iron design nowadays and Mizuno weren’t going to miss out on the party. A micro slot behind the face of the 3-6 Irons increase the amount the faces flex and rebound. It also directs shock waves back towards the club-face to maximise power on every shot.

Higher Ball Speeds

“The fastest ball speeds ever from an MP Iron” say Mizuno and they are right up there with the market leaders “Speed Pocket” designs. Crucially though the engineers have paid careful attention to maintaining the touch and feel Tour and better players demand.

Tour Preferred Chassis

Mizuno’s end goal was to create the first true high ball speed iron that was designed specifically for tour players through to low and mid amateurs. So they started out with a Tour Proven chassis, which they knew could confidently be shown to their Tour Staff. For you this means the 25’s are an incredibly good looking set of irons.

No shaft upcharges

It’s a shift in policy but Mizuno wanted to make sure their advertised price for a set of irons is the price you actually pay. So for this new launch they are showing their commitment to custom fitting by not adding any upcharges for aftermarket shafts, which for the serious golfer into their exotic shafts is a huge benefit over the competition.

Expect to find the MP-25’s in good golf retailers from early September 2015 with a price of £115 per iron. For more information visit golf.mizunoeurope.com
